WHO'S WHO
ROB NIRSIMLOO - Chief Executive
Rob has been part of Multichem since 1998 occupying a number of roles including Operations Manager and General Manager on the way to his current position as Chief Executive. He spends a large amount of his time travelling overseas on business and is a lifelong fan of both Manchester United and the Rolling Stones. Rob is a gifted guitar player (in his dreams) and has disgraced himself in many a karaoke bar across the world.

MICHAEL NELSON - Director of Operations
Michael has been with us since 1999 and now combines a number of roles which include overseeing Production as well as our Quality and Health & Safety systems. He somehow manages to find time to look after sales in North and South America while pursuing his hobbies of fine dining and good wine. Michael has recently acquired a kayak and is planning a solo trip across the Atlantic on his next sales trip. We are serious about reducing our carbon footprint!

MASAHIRO TAODA - Technical Sales Manager
After 15 years with Japanese nib manufacturer Teibow, Masahiro Taoda was appointed to Multichem in September 2011 to boost our global sales drive. Based in Japan, he is responsible for sales in Asia, China, the Middle East and Africa - quite an extensive patch! An experienced traveller and keen golfer, Taoda (as he is known) also enjoys an occasional scotch whisky.

DAVID DARBYSHIRE - Technical Manager
Dave joined us in June 2009 bringing with him over 30 years' experience in the ink and pigment dispersion industry. He ran his own company for 15 years manufacturing bespoke inks. Married with three grown-up children who will not leave home, his hobbies include football, rugby and cricket although sadly these days that means watching on TV rather than playing. Dave's music tastes are LOUD which probably explains why he is a little deaf!

MARIE EKE - Senior Chemist
Marie joined the team in 2004 as Laboratory Technician and has progressed to the position of Senior Chemist in a very short space of time. She now oversees our Research & Development programme and is responsible for many of our latest ink developments, ably supported by her team of technicians. In between endless cups of coffee she spends her time pondering life's imponderables. She does not however like science fiction or unproven hypotheses.

SAM COOLEY - Export Co-ordinator
Sam (short for Samantha) came on board in 1998 and is single-handedly responsible for distributing the vast amounts of ink we produce to the four corners of the earth. We have yet to find a destination where she has failed to deliver although our sales team is doing its best to plant a flag in the North Pole to set her a real challenge. Sam enjoys socialising and visiting her parents in Cyprus. Be warned though - she hates being called Samantha!

ALISON DOUGLAS - Purchasing & Trade Show Co-ordinator
Alison started at Multichem in July 1998 as PA to Gavin Zibe. She is now responsible for purchasing as well as organising our trade shows and travel arrangements. Alison works three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and says that is enough! At home her two girls keep her busy though she does sometimes find the time to bake cakes or biscuits. We all reap the benefits when she does.

JANE DELAHUNTY - Accountant
With experience of accountancy gained both in industry and the profession, Jane joined Multichem in June 2011. She studied horticulture and plant sciences during a career break gaining a PhD studying biochemical processes in the pineapple plant! Jane works four days a week (Monday to Thursday). At home she is kept busy looking after cats, dogs, ponies and her son. She enjoys riding her pony when there is time.

RAIN ZHANG - General Manager Multichem Shanghai
After three years acting as Multichem's agent in China, Rain was appointed General Manager of Multichem Ink (Shanghai) Co. Ltd following the company's incorporation in March 2011. A native of Qingdao, Rain is now based at our offices in Shanghai facilitating our Chinese operation whilst coordinating our agents and sales function in China.
